So, you may not know what Kindness Club is. Today is the day you get an inside scoop from a member of the club: Issac Mercado.

Kindness club is a group that gets together at DRA during lunch on Thursdays in room 602. Mrs. Martin is the club advisor. Every meeting they discuss a topic that can help spread kindness at DRA. I asked Mercado a series of questions to help me and the whole school get a better understanding of Kindness club.

While interviewing Mercado he tells me that the main point in having kindness club is “spreading and sharing kindness cheer…” He told me in the future they want to have many social organizations like a flash mob. I could only imagine a bunch of Care Bears popping out and starting to dance! Further into my interview with him, I ask why don’t more people join this club. He responded back with “…people might think…this is really silly.”

As I was finishing off the interview with Mercado, I asked him one last question which I knew was a very important question: Does Kindness club plan on ending fights?  He replied,  “Well, I feel as if it could make an impact, but the people who start the fights would need to join.”

As always, have a great day Diamondbacks!
