On Sunday, February 18, 2018, Mrs. Amidei, some chaperones, and students from DRA went on a field trip to UCLA. It was a long 3.5 hour drive on a school bus, but once the students arrived,  they enjoyed the first hour at the “I’m Going to College Fair.” The student athletes offered free autographs, and the police department handed out UCLA lanyards, stickers, and pencils. At 5:00 p.m. DRA students watched the UCLA vs Utah gymnastics meet. Unfortunately UCLA lost by a couple of points. It was definitely a sight to see!   The bus returned to DRA at approximately 10:30 p.m.

Mrs. Martin, 8th grade ELA teacher was one of the chaperones on the trip, said, “UCLA is a beautiful campus. It was impressive to see the powerful athletes. We got to meet some college athletes. I’m glad I went.”

It was a super fun Sunday for DRA!
