Morning Announcements

  • Social isolation is the overwhelming feeling of being left out, lonely or treated like you are invisible. Young people who feel this way may pull away from society, struggle with learning and social development, or choose to hurt themselves or others.  During the week of September 24–28th, 2018, hundreds of schools (Including Desert Ridge Academy) and youth organizations across the United States will participate in Start With Hello Week and teach our students the skills they need to create a culture of inclusion and connectedness, and encourage them to reach out to and include those who may be dealing with chronic social isolation.
  • Bingo will be played in a whole new way at Desert Ridge Academy today  Students will connect with each other during lunch by earning bingo squares for each new student they talk to.
  • Essential 55 Day 22: You may bring a bottle of water to class!
  • Tomorrow’s Fire Drill has been postponed.  New Date TBD
  • Yes to Electronics! Remember YOU determine if we allow electronics by keeping the lunch area (tables, courts, etc…) clean AND your behavior.
  • And Remember….DRALeadsTheWay through Accountability, Integrity, and Responsibility!
